IGE Showcase & Investor Preview

Integrated event marketing

A five-month campaign to bring IGE's flagship entrepreneurship event back louder than the year before, with social, email, print, and partner outreach all pushing toward one night.

Goals

Get students, founders, and investors to recognize IGE's biggest event as the same flagship moment and arrive knowing why it mattered to them — one clear promise repeated everywhere, not four disconnected pitches.

Strategy

Audited past campaigns for formats that earned attention, benchmarked peer programs, committed early to short-form video paired with B2B content, and built a five-month calendar paced to peak on event day.

Execution

Ran the calendar with recurring beats, produced the eight-part \u2018Be Part of IGE\u2019 Reels series, coordinated a regional tech promoter collaboration, and held print and digital to one identity.

Results

Over 30,000 email impressions, 40+ startups and partner organizations promoted, and a top Reel past 2,000 views. Five printed pieces carried the same identity on-site.

  • 30K+ email impressions
  • 40+ partners promoted
  • 2K+ top Reel views
  • 5+ printed assets

2026 IGE Alumni Speaker Series

Event promotion and experience design

One of IGE's most-attended series, given a single identity it could grow into: speaker storytelling, a consistent look, and a guest experience handled end to end.

Goals

Make the series feel like one recognizable event students trusted, and give speakers and guests an experience worth their evening.

Strategy

Reviewed earlier editions to fix promotion and the room itself, shaped copy and visuals around each speaker's story, and planned hospitality, logistics, and a registration database.

Execution

Designed one visual system across marketing, print, and on-site displays, then ran the events: welcoming guests, guiding people through the space, and keeping recording, audio, and displays working.

Results

Attendance grew across the series and peaked above 50 in the most popular sessions, feedback stayed positive, and the refreshed identity gave the series a reusable look.

  • 50+ peak attendance
  • Multi-session series
  • New visual system

IGE Office Hours

B2C campaign built from scratch

A student-facing campaign built from nothing, aimed at one thing: getting students to see that the help was there and meant for them.

Goals

Make office hours feel visible, approachable, and clearly worth the walk across campus.

Strategy

Designed the hesitation out: plain language about what students would get, touchpoints where they already were, and a next step that took no effort, with tracking on every channel.

Execution

Produced flyers, signage, and digital graphics along how students move around campus, wrote copy that invited questions, and built Bitly and Hootsuite tracking; on-site during busy stretches.

Results

Peaks of ten visits a day during high-interest periods, a stronger founder pipeline including roughly three new startup initiatives, and clear signal on what to scale next.

  • 5+ print assets
  • 10 visits/day peak
  • 3 new startups

2026 IGE Print Media Rebrand

Print marketing and campus outreach

A full redesign of IGE's print materials to match UC San Diego's new brand: a cohesive set of collateral that looks current on campus and can still be tracked.

Goals

Bring IGE's print in line with UC San Diego's new brand, and make it measurable once it left my hands.

Strategy

Aligned every piece with the university's incoming brand, then bridged print to digital with QR codes and Bitly links so a poster could show whether it drove anything.

Execution

Designed more than 15 assets — flyers, brochures, posters, and event collateral — iterating with program leads and print vendors so each worked in the room and on the press.

Results

Assets ran across four or more university events with 200+ attendees each, on a template foundation that lets the next campaign start from more than a blank page.

  • 15+ print assets
  • 200+ attendees/event
  • 4+ events covered

IGE Global Innovation Program

Global program marketing and events

Marketing and hospitality for an international program connecting UC San Diego with cohorts from Japan, built to make visiting teams feel the trip was worth it.

Goals

Position IGE as a catalyst for entrepreneurship, not just a host, and give international cohorts an experience personal enough to feel worth traveling for.

Strategy

Researched each visiting university and cohort so messaging spoke to them, planned a social campaign for build-up and follow-up, and arranged spaces so networking happened by design.

Execution

Pulled 6+ print and digital pieces into a single marketing-and-hospitality toolkit, supported four-plus cohorts on the ground, and curated post-event content naming collaborators.

Results

Hosted 30+ guests per session across 8+ in-person cohorts and 6+ international partners, helped launch 20+ startups, and left a stronger base for future partnerships.

  • 6+ international partners
  • 8+ in-person cohorts
  • 20+ startups
